Construction and Renovation of New High School Science Labs Approved
The Wayne Township Board of Education recently approved a $455,000 project that will lead to three new science labs and a variety of electrical upgrades at Wayne Valley and Wayne Hills High Schools.  The Wayne Township Board of Education is planning to invest significantly in the quality of district lab spaces.   The Board feels it is of the utmost importance students be afforded access to learning environments that stimulate strong growth in scientific thinking and understanding through hands-on learning opportunities.  This $455,000 project is the first phase of a multi-year project that will lead to a complete renovation of all high school science classrooms over the next three years.  Click here for the complete article.
Board of Education Appoints New Administrators
Wayne, New Jersey - The Wayne Township Board of Education recently appointed four administrators for the 2017-2018 school year.  Superintendent of Schools Mark Toback recently commented, “We are fortunate to have excellent candidates to fill such important positions.  The candidates all have something in common.  They have a history of holding themselves to the highest professional standards and they all have great prior work experiences that will benefit our school system. I am also pleased to note that two of the four appointees are current school district employees that have been promoted.”  Please click here for full press release.
Revised 2017-2018 School Calendar
The 2017-2018 School Calendar has been revised to add a minimal day on Friday, December 22, 2017, prior to the Holiday Recess.  Please click here for the revised calendar.
No Place For Hate

Dear Parents:  The Wayne Township Public Schools believes that students thrive academically, socially and personally when they feel safe and respected, no matter their background or beliefs.  We are committed to fostering a culture free from bias, bullying and name-calling, where students feel empowered to embrace diversity in themselves and in others.  As part of our continued efforts to maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment, this year we are excited to introduce the No Place for Hate®program to our schools.  Please click here for more information and the letter from Superintendent, Dr. Mark Toback.

Hello 8th graders and Parents and Guardians of 8th graders!

If you did not receive the DC permission slip or the Registration packet from the parent meeting or from homeroom, please find extra copies below.

Schuyler-Colfax Color-A-Thon Fundraiser Friday, October 20, 2017
In order to kickoff a colorful year the Student Council will be sponsoring our second COLORUN!!! Members of the Schuyler-Colfax school community who register and raise/donate $30 will be able to participate! Participants will also receive a color-a-thon T-shirt, race bag, and a color pack they use use during the race! The more money you raise, the more color packs you get to use during the race!

6th Grade Open House
Please join us on Tuesday, August 29 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Schuyler-Colfax's 6th grade Open House. A brief presentation will be held at 11:00 a.m. in which you can meet the Administration and Guidance Counselors, find out about extra-curricular clubs and activities,      and visit with our PTO. 
6th Grade Transition FAQ's
The Schuyler-Colfax Middle School administration would like to thank all incoming sixth grade parents who participated in our transition survey. The FAQs were generated from the responses we received. We hope that you find this information useful and encourage you to check our website frequently for more information regarding your child’s transition to middle school.
17-18 Supply lists
Grade-level supply lists for the 2017-2018 school year have been posted to the School Communications, "Notices and Documents" tab.  Please be sure to check the website in July and August for additional updates regarding the opening of school in September.
